The Whitefield Library & Community Center, at 1 Arlington Lane in Whitefield, will open its doors for the season on Saturday, May 18th at 10 a.m. with an ice cream social and a children’s story hour from 10:30-11:30 a.m.
This is the first in an ongoing series called Stories Around the World. Join in as participants travel around the world through stories, crafts, and fun. Record the journey from North America to India, Africa to China, and Scandinavia to Brazil on a giant world map. Help create vibrant art from the countries explored to decorate the library walls and learn more about world geography during the Whitefield Library’s first summer story hour.
An adult book club will be added to the programming this season. Beginning Wednesday, May 22, all bibliophiles are invited to join in at the library from 6-7 p.m. in what promises to be an entertaining evening out.
The library is open free to all Whitefield residents and those of surrounding towns. Hours have been expanded: Saturdays 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Wednesdays 10 a.m. to noon and 5-7 p.m.
Come to the library, eat some ice cream, sign up for a free library card, and find a good book! All ages are welcome at the Whitefield Library.
