Damariscotta Police Department Chief Jason Warlick and fellow officers will be present to meet children, discuss public safety, and see a local police car on Saturday, June 30 from noon-2 p.m. at Wicked Scoops, 95 Main St., Damariscotta at its “Meet a Police Officer” event.
“Often, we only discuss law enforcement with children during difficult times,” said Wicked Scoops owner Jamie Way. “This is a great opportunity for kids, and adults, to meet some members of our wonderful local police department in a friendly environment.”
There will be ice cream and hot dog specials, plus a few small handouts from the Damariscotta Police Department.
Also, Wicked Scoops just received several new Gifford’s 2018 flavors, including Blueberry Pomegranate Sorbet.
