The Maine Department of Economic and Community Development and Governor’s Account Executive Jaimie Logan will take part in a small business forum from 8-10 a.m., Tuesday, June 21 at the Lincoln County Regional Planning Commission, 297 Bath Road, Wiscasset.
Since 2011, the Department of Economic and Community Development and its team of Governor’s account executives have assisted numerous businesses looking to start up, expand, or relocate here in Maine. The account executives serve as a one-stop resource for businesses dealing with a variety of issues, such as site location, permitting and licensing, funding, and workforce training.
“This is all about making Maine a more competitive place to do business and provide real assistance to those businesses looking to expand or relocate to Maine,” said Gov. Paul R. LePage. “My team of account executives serves as Maine’s business ambassadors by helping attract new private investment and facilitating job creation across our great state.”
State, federal, and regional business and economic development agencies will present up-to-date information on a variety of programs and services available to small businesses at this small business forum.
A panel will discuss various financing tools, including state business incentives, loan programs, and IRS support services. In addition, topics will cover business development and planning resources to help small businesses grow, whether well-established or just getting started.
“Maine is a great place to do business and I look forward to meeting one-on-one with current and future job creators,” said Logan.
Following the panel presentations, there will be time for Q&A, one-on-one conversations, and networking. To attend this free event, RSVP by email to mbarnes@lcrpc.org or call 882-5984.
