A Walpole woman has been arrested in connection with a shooting in Walpole that left a man with non-life-threatening injuries the evening of Friday, March 9.
Angela Lemire, 39, allegedly shot the man with a handgun, according to a post on the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page. The man sustained a non-life-threatening injury. He was treated at LincolnHealth’s Miles Campus in Damariscotta and Maine Medical Center in Portland, and has since been released.
Lemire faces one count each of class B aggravated assault and class C domestic violence reckless conduct with a dangerous weapon, both felonies, according to the post.
The charges follow the agency’s investigation into an incident that took place on Clarks Cove Road at about 7 p.m. Friday. The Central Lincoln County Ambulance Service and South Bristol First Responders also responded to the scene.
LCSO Detective Jared Mitkus took Lemire into custody Sunday, March 11 in Brunswick and transported her to Two Bridges Regional Jail in Wiscasset. Due to the nature of the charges, she is being held without bail pending a court appearance, according to the post. She is expected to appear in court this week.
