Ada S. Campbell, 93, (three weeks shy of 94), of Waldoboro, died in the same home in which she was born, on April 29, 2019. She was the last of seven generations.
Ada was born on May 21, 1925 to Wilson D. and Doris (Palmer) Smalley. Upon graduating from Waldoboro High School in 1942, she was employed as a telephone operator at New England Tel Co. in Waldoboro until the conversion to the dial system. She retired in 1985 after 23 years with the U.S. Postal Service.
She was predeceased by her husband of 69 years, Clyde S. Campbell and her only son, Donald Clyde Campbell in 2011.
She is survived by daughter-in-law, Robyn R. Campbell; and granddaughter, Elizabeth (Beth) Renee Campbell.
There will be a graveside service on Sunday, June 2, at 1 p.m. at the Seiders Cemetery, 2754 Friendship Rd. in Waldoboro for both Clyde and Ada Campbell.
