Addie M. Stover, 87, of Union, died unexpectedly on April 19 at Penobscot Bay Medical Center in Rockport.
Born at Bremen Long Island, July 13, 1919, she was one of seven children of Oren F. and Viola Prior McLain. She attended local schools. Mrs. Stover worked several years at Medomak Canning in Waldoboro.
Her greatest joy was visiting with her grandchildren, and seeing the ocean.
Mrs. Stover was predeceased by her husband, Walter J. Stover, in 1991.
She is survived by one daughter, Doris J. Heintz and husband Herman of Union; sister, Maxine Thompson of Friendship; grandchildren, Stephen and Pamela Heintz of Boxford, Mass., Rebecca and Michael Pitkin of Dickinson, N.D., Catherine and Greg Hofford of Nantucket, Mass., Charissa and Gabe Rogers of Rockland, and Joanna and James Stubblebine of Concord, Mass.; great-grandchildren, Benjamin and Zo¸ Pitkin, Elizabeth, Stephen, Emily and Anna Heintz, Suzannah, Charlotte, Noah and Amelia Hofford, Ruth, Cathryn and Phoebe Rogers, Clara, Caleb, and Jared and Owen Stubblebine; as well as several nieces and nephews.
