Adele Coons, of Ridgefield, N.J., passed away on April 15 at Holy Name Hospital in Teaneck, N.J. after a hard fought battle with cancer. She was born on Nov. 10, 1919.
Adele loved coming to Maine and spent many summer nights listening to loons and playing UNO on Damariscotta Lake. Her spirit and good humor will be missed by all.
Adele is predeceased by her son, John Jr.; brother-in-law, Fred Coons; her parents; and her brothers.
Adele leaves behind her husband John (Jack) of 60 years of Ridgefield, N.J.; sister-in-law, Hilda Coons of Nobleboro; niece, Hilda and husband Glenn Styles of Nobleboro; nephew, James Clancy of Maywood, N.J.; great-niece Christiana and husband Paul Bachelder of Alna; great-nephew, Patrick Styles of Nobleboro; and great-great-nephew Zac Bachelder of Alna; and many beloved friends in both Maine and New Jersey.
Funeral services were held in New Jersey April 29.
