Mr. Adolph A. Weeks Jr., 88, of Danvers, Mass., and Fort Myers Beach, Fla., husband of Marie (Bonner) Weeks, passed away Dec. 16 in the Masconomet Health Care Center, Topsfield.
Born in Danvers, Mass., he was the son of the late Adolph A. and Thea Kvernen (Nelson) Weeks, who emigrated from Norway to this country in the early 1900’s.
Mr. Weeks was employed for 40 years as a manager at GTE Sylvania. He also worked for 16 years as a sales consultant in packaging for the former MacMillen Bloedel Co. in Montgomery, Ala.
Adolph was a former caddy, who never lost his love for the game of golf. He was a member of the GTE Quarter Century Club, past president of the Waldoboro Lions Club, former director of the Wheeling, W. Va. Y.M.C.A., a member of the King Solomon’s Masonic Lodge A.F.& A.M. of Waldoboro, and a 32nd degree Shriner of the Osiris Temple of Wheeling, W. Va.
He was predeceased by his brothers, Arnold N. Weeks Sr. and Gordon N. Weeks; and son-in-law, Ronald.
In addition to his loving wife, with whom he shared 70 years of marriage, Adolph is survived by two loving daughters, Wanda Thibeault and husband Raymond of Brentwood, N.H., and Martha Brasovan of Miami, Fla.; grandchildren, Karen Sparks and husband Ronald of Wenham, Mass., Jane Day Britton of Portsmouth, N.H., Richard Day and wife Karen of New Market, N.H., and Gail Day of New Market, N.H.; seven great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Ruth Weeks of Danvers, Mass., and Virginia Bonner of Conn.; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service 11 a.m., Wed., Dec. 20 at Peterson-O’Donnell Funeral Home, 167 Maple St. (Rte. 62), Danvers, Mass.; relatives and friends invited.
Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery, Danvers, Mass.
