Adrienne S. Nadeau, 73, of Augusta, died June 23 at her home following a long illness. She was born in Bridgton on Nov. 12, 1936, a daughter of the late Alex J. and Arlene (Hill) Nadeau.
Ms. Nadeau was a graduate of Wiscasset High School and earned an Associates Degree in Social Work from the University of Maine at Augusta.
She had been employed by the State of Maine, first at the Augusta Mental Health Institute, then for the Forensics Dept. for 37 years.
Ms. Nadeau was a member of the Medico-Legal Society, Maine State Retirees Association and the Wiscasset Alumni Association.
She was predeceased by a brother, Donald Nadeau.
Ms. Nadeau is survived by her partner Jackie Austin of Augusta; son, Jeffrey Nadeau of Winthrop; sister, Sharon Cline and husband Marcus of Galveston, Tex.; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Following cremation, a gathering of family and friends will be held at her home, 49 Middle St., Augusta, 1-3 p.m., Sat., July 3.
