Alice Ann Berry, 83, of Somerville, Mass., passed away recently at her residence at the Clarendon Hill Towers, in Somerville, Mass.
Born Nov. 5, 1935 at Damariscotta, she was the daughter of Sheldon P. Berry and his wife Nora (Kelly) Berry of Nobleboro and grew up on the family farm at Morgan Hill.
She attended grade school at the center of town and graduated from Lincoln Academy in Newcastle, and was a graduate of Husson College, majoring in clerical (business) work.
After college she moved to the Somerville, Mass. area where she had maternal relatives and worked at her chosen profession until retirement, spending vacations and holidays with her two brothers in Maine.
She was predeceased by her parents; and brothers, William J. Berry of Nobleboro, and George A. Berry Sr. of Damariscotta, both Korean War veterans.
She is survived by sisters-in-law, Hilda Kaye Berry (Mrs. William), and Virginia Sprague (Mrs. George Sr.); nephew, George A. Berry Jr. (Gail Racette); and nieces, Tracey Berry of Boulder, Col., Heidi Britland (Edward) of Richmond, Va., and Shelley McCauley of Greenland, N.H.
A private burial is planned for a later date.
