Alice M. Orff, 83, of Montville, passed away Sept. 28 at her residence.
She was born Dec. 27, 1934, in North Union to Leroy and Geneva (Mears) Luce. She could be found in the strawberry fields at Orff Berry Farm in Montville. Family and friends enjoyed the sweet treats she made. Alice enjoyed singing and yodeling. She loved her husband and loved spending time with him.
Alice was predeceased by both parents; two siblings; infant daughter, Marie Louise Orff; son, Wendell L. Orff; and daughter, Donna Orff Gracie.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Donald Orff, of Montville; daughter, Dawn Laukka and husband Kevin; grandchildren, Stephanie Lunt and husband Brian, Belinda Shorey and husband Sam, Tammy Stewart and husband Randy, and Alisha Pendleton; seven great-grandchildren including a special great-grandson, Jacob Lunt, all of Lincoln County. Alice is also survived by a host of loving brothers and sisters, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visiting hours for friends and family will be held from 4-6 p.m., Thurs., Oct. 4 at Riposta Funeral Home, Belfast, where the funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Fri., Oct. 5. Burial will follow at Levensellar Cemetery in Washington. There will be a gathering for food and fellowship after the burial at the Evening Star Grange Hall, 130-40 Old Union Rd., Washington.
