Ann Ludwig Gould, 80, died Sept. 23 at The Owls Head Homestead in Owls Head. She was born Sept. 22, 1933 in Rockland to Raymond and Evelyn Richards Ludwig. She graduated from Rockland High School in the class of 1952.
Ann worked at Bear Hill Market in Waldoboro for five years. She later worked at Medomak Valley High School as a cashier in the cafeteria for 26 years. She enjoyed seasonal camping at Moody’s Island with her family and loved to cook. She also enjoyed boating and cruising on her boat, Dixie Jazz, with her husband. She was a member of the Belfast Boat Club for many years, T.O.P.S, and received an award for K.O.P.S. She attended the Rockland Congregational Church. She loved her beloved cat, “Patches.”
She is survived by her husband, William B. Gould of Hope; sons, Rick Gould and companion Elaine of Norfolk, Va., and David P. Gould and wife Kristin of Thomaston; daughter, Cynthia A. Prior and husband Craig of Bremen; brother, Richard P. Ludwig of Florida; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m., Sat., Sept. 28 at the North Parish Cemetery in St. George followed by a reception at the Hall Funeral Home, 78 Main St. in Thomaston.
