Ann Page Haggett, 82, of Damariscotta, passed away Jan. 7 at Miles Memorial Hospital after a brief illness.
Born in Newcastle, Ann was a daughter of Harold and Gladys Keyes Page. A graduate of Lincoln Academy, class of 1942, she continued her studies at the University of Maine and Katherine Gibbs in Boston, Mass.
An avid Red Sox fan, she often went to Fenway Park to see Ted Williams play ball.
In 1950, she married Richard Haggett. They lived in Wayland, Mass. and White River Junction, Vt. before returning home to Maine in 1978. Ann resided at Cove’s Edge for 21 years, receiving excellent care from the devoted staff.
She was predeceased by her husband, Richard M. Haggett and brother, Robert H. Page.
Survivors include her daughter, Barbara H. Sewall and husband Doug of Damariscotta; son, Daniel Haggett of Framingham, Mass.; sister, Jane Page Wells of Palm City, Fla.; grandchildren, Jason Sewall and wife Sarah of Chapel Hill, N.C. and Chris Sewall of Damariscotta; and devoted lifelong friend, Georgie Sandeen of Damariscotta.
Celebration of Ann s life 11 a.m., Sat., May 17 at the Second Congregational Church, Newcastle.
