Anna F. Ouellette, 66, of Waldoboro, formerly of Upper Stewiacke, Nova Scotia, died suddenly at home Oct. 28.
Anna was born April 10, 1944 in Upper Stewiacke, Nova Scotia, the daughter of Alvin and Julyle McCoul Ellis, and attended local schools there.
After moving away from home for a short while, her family returned to “Up Stew” where they lived for 20 years before moving to Waldoboro in 1992. She worked at the Waldoboro Hannaford for about five years, which afforded her the opportunity to make and keep updated with her many friends in town. She was especially known as a mom who made a wonderful home for her family.
Anna loved to travel with her family, especially the cross continent road trips with Benjamin, where the destination was known, but the timetable to get there wasn’t, as they’d visit friends along the way, making a two day stop into two weeks.
She also loved to tend her gardens, dress her geese who stood sentinel on her front steps, and was always ready to “do something fun.”
Survivors include her husband of 46 years, Benjamin Ouellette of Waldoboro; son, Troy Ouellette of Orlando, Fla.; daughter, Julianna Allen and husband Jim of Fall River, Nova Scotia; grandchildren, Cora Anne Ouellette and Emma Rose Ouellette, both of Orlando, and Sydney Elizabeth Allen and Owen James Allen, both of Fall River, Nova Scotia; brother, Ron Ellis of Brookfield, N.S.; and sisters, Irene Deyarmond of Upper Stewiacke, N.S., Shirley Flemming of Brookfield, N.S. and Marion Cox of Stewiacke, N.S.
Friends visited Oct. 31 at the Hall Funeral Home, Waldoboro. Funeral service 1 p.m., Thurs., Nov. 4 at the Springside United Church, Upper Stewiacke, N.S. Reception will follow in the church hall.
