Anthony George Ezzillo, 60, of Waldoboro, known to many of his friends as Tony Babine (after the Name Game song), died unexpectedly on Dec. 28, 2010 at Lake Wales Medical Center in Lake Wales, Fla. after a brief illness while visiting his sister for the holidays.
He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. on Feb. 15, 1950 to Silvio C. Ezzillo and Vivian Aracri Ezzillo. He lived in Portland for many years before moving to Waldoboro and had many friends in both areas. In recent years, he acted in a number of local and national films, including In the Bedroom and Message in a Bottle.
He is survived by his sister, Marianna Ezzillo Annunziata; two nephews; one niece; four great-nieces; and one great-nephew.
A service was held on Dec. 31, 2010 in Florida.
