Anthony Poore, 68, of Wiscasset, formerly of Boothbay and Edgecomb, died at his home on Feb. 23.
His was born in Boothbay, Aug. 25, 1939, the son of Ernest E. and Helen Krupinski Poore. As a young boy Anthony attended Boothbay Harbor schools, but left school at an early age to go to work. He loved being on the shore so it was only natural for him to dig worms and clams for a living. Anthony loved to putter around his yard, cutting wood with a chain saw, repairing mechanical devices, small engine repair, working on his car and also watching TV.
Survivors include brother, Ernest Poore of Waldoboro; cousins, Martha Reed of Boothbay, Rodney Poore of Scarbarough, and Mary Tilton of Boothbay Harbor; and close friends, Richard Varney, David Rice, and Lee Waring.
Graveside service 11 a.m., Tues., Nov. 4 at the Oaklawn Cemetery, Rt. 96 in Boothbay Harbor, Alfred Roberts will officiate.
