Arlene H. Wallace, 92, of Damariscotta, died Oct. 24 at Cove’s Edge in Damariscotta.
She was born in Bath on June 6, 1926, a daughter of Hollis L. and Ruth (Hayward) Leeman.
She graduated from Morse High School. She was employed by the Lincoln Home in Newcastle for 17 years.
She was a member of the Woolwich Grange and Woolwich-Wiscasset Baptist Church.
She enjoyed cake decorating, baking, sewing, and knitting.
She was predeceased by daughters, Sarah Grover in 1957 and Sharon Lash in 2017; brothers, Bill Leeman, Roland Leeman, and Hollis Leeman Jr.; and sister, Marilyn Wing.
She is survived by her longtime companion, Roger Mank of Waldoboro; sons, Leonard Grover and wife Jo of Seattle, Wash., Stephen Grover and wife Gail of Splendora, Tex., and Brian Grover and wife Debbie of Pittston; daughters, Linda Hoff of Westport, N.Y., Janet Spinney of Wiscasset, and Nancy Ransom and husband Jay of East Barre, Vt.; brother, Ed Leeman of Bingham; sisters, Esther Hauck and husband John of Woolwich, Margaret Hodgdon of Wiscasset, and Mary King and husband Bob of Woolwich; 20 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m., Fri., Nov. 2 at the Woolwich-Wiscasset Baptist Church, Rt. 1, Woolwich. A gathering of family and friends will follow in the church fellowship hall. Burial will be at Grover Cemetery in Woolwich.
