Arthur Russell Delano Jr. passed away on July 5 at his home. Arthur was born on Feb. 23, 1936 in Boothbay to Arthur Russell Delano Sr. and Florence Madelyn (Matthews) Delano.
After attending Wiscasset schools, Arthur was a marine worm digger and truck driver. He worked for several local construction businesses in the area, and owned a logging and construction business. Arthur was a very talented man and was loved by all who knew him.
Arthur is predeceased by his parents and siblings: Kenneth, George, Jeffery, Martha, Marjorie Sproul, and Peggy Creamer.
He is survived by his loving wife, Peggy; sons, Timothy and wife Pamela of Wiscasset, Stephen and wife Robin of Traveler’s Rest, S.C., and Darren and wife Laury of Dresden; daughter, Lori and husband Jim Munson of Wiscasset; grandchildren, Shawn Delano, Travis Munson, Tenlee Delano, Letitia Munson, Jonica Delano, Emilee (Delano) West, and Jodi Delano; four great-granddaughters; siblings, Robert, Lloyd, Dean, Dana, Richard, Wendell, Linda, Ruth Webber, and Nancy Morton; as well as many nieces and nephews.
At Arthur’s request, a private service will take place at a later date.
