Audre McLoughlin, former summer resident of New Harbor, passed away on Sept. 24. She was born in Revere, Mass. on June 25, 1932.
Audre graduated from Mass General Hospital School of Nursing in 1956. She received her bachelors and masters degrees from Teachers College, Columbia and her doctorate of Education at the University of Maryland.
Audre was a nursing administrator at University of Maryland, and Georgetown University and established the graduate program of nursing at the University of Indiana.
During her Army career she served in South Korea and Okinawa. She had several assignments at Walter Reed Army Medical Center.
She was predeceased by her husband, Jack Swindler as well as several cousins.
