Barbara A. Gingrow, 52, of Bath, died July 2 at a Brunswick hospital.
She was born in Bath on May 31, 1957, a daughter of Robert W. and Phyllis E. (Thresher) Clark.
She attended Bath schools and was employed at Bath Iron Works in Brunswick. On July 18, 2003 she married Timothy R. Gingrow.
Barbara took her greatest pleasure from her grandchildren. She enjoyed sewing and was proud of her specialty cakes, which she baked for all occasions. She was also fond of traditional outdoor pursuits, canoeing, kayaking, hunting and fishing.
Barbara was predeceased by a sister, Bernice Kingsbury of Bath.
She is survived by her husband, Timothy R. Gingrow of Bath; two daughters, Katrina McGibney and husband Matt of Burlington, Vt., and Nicole O’Farrell of Auburn; two brothers, Dennis Clark of Boothbay, and Richard Clark of Florida; two sisters, Roberta Kenny of Bath, and Debra Gowell of Bath; father and mother-in-law, John G. and Beverly A. Gingrow, Sr. of Woolwich; eight grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m., Tues., July 7 at Daigle Funeral Home, 819 High St., Bath. Funeral service 4 p.m., Wed., July 8 at the United Congregational Church UCC on Congress Ave. in Bath with Pastor Dan Coffin officiating. Burial will be at a later date.
