Barbara Louise Wright, 64, of Whitefield, died Dec. 5 at Maine Medical Center in Portland.
She was born in Gorham on Oct. 24, 1948, a daughter of George “Robert” Sr. and Eva Louise (Mains) Berry.
She attended Portland schools and married Norman Byrnes Sr. She was employed at Rynel Factory in Boothbay and married Kenwood Wright Jr. She was then employed for Employment Services of Maine Homecare for many years.
She was predeceased by her husband, Kenwood Wright Jr. on July 15, 1992.
She is survived by her life partner, Robert M. Lane of Whitefield; sons, Norman Byrnes Jr. of Auburn, and Christopher Byrnes and wife Wendy of Nobleboro; daughter, Tina M. Golden and husband Shawn of Wiscasset; step-daughters, Tammy Wright of Wiscasset, and Michelle Wright of Whitefield; brothers, John Berry and wife Beverly of Hollis, and George Berry of Windham; sisters, Debbie Thomas and husband David of Freeport, Elsie Stinson of Wiscasset, and Brenda Bailey of Wiscasset; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., Mon., Dec. 10 at the First Baptist Church in Alna with a celebration of life following at noon. A gathering will follow at the church.
