Barbara Moody Pinkham, 92, Boston native and long time resident of Damariscotta Mills, passed away on Nov. 18. Daughter Marianne Pinkham and Grand Corgi Rocket were with her at The Lincoln Home before her passing for a quiet time of remembrance.

By giving of herself through service to her community and profession, Barbara, a graduate of the University of Southern Maine, wove a thread of faith, hope, creativity, integrity and lifelong learning through the lives of all who had the opportunity to enter her world. From the Nobleboro Historical Society, Order of the Eastern Star, White Shrine of Jerusalem, Old Bristol Garden Club, Highland Cemetery Association, Maine Medical Records Association, Business and Professional Women’s Club, American Association of University Women, World War One Veteran’s Women’s Auxiliary, National Parliamentarian’s Association, Skidompha Library, the Damariscotta United Methodist Church, Miles Memorial Hospital, the Town of Nobleboro’s Budget Committee or School Union 74’s Adult Education Board, to Spot, Muffin and Muffett her cats, gardens, studies, and African violets Barbara was a quiet force who made a difference.
Family and friends are invited to the Damariscotta United Methodist Church on Church Street in Damariscotta, 1 p.m., Tues., Nov. 24 for a Memorial Service.
For those who wish to share their own time of reflection with Barbara the church will be open from noon – 1 pm. Burial services at the Highland Cemetery in Damariscotta Mills (Nobleboro) following the Memorial Service. A reception for friends of the family and her dedicated caregivers will take place at The Lincoln Home, 3:30 p.m., Tues., Nov. 24.
Floral bouquets are gratefully declined in lieu of donations to the Barbara Pinkham Achieves Fund, Nobleboro Historical Society (PO Box 122, Nobleboro, ME, 04555).
