Barry Richard Dilts, 60, of Waldoboro, beloved husband of Barbara J. Dilts, passed away Oct. 4 at Penobscot Bay Medical Center in Rockport.
Born in Phillipsburg, N.J., March 7, 1947, he was the son of Harry R. and Viola M. Laubach Dilts. Educated in local schools, he was a 1965 graduate of Phillipsburg High School.
For several years he worked as a machinist in the parts manufacturing industry. For the past few years he worked in Florida and Maine as an associate with Wal-Mart.
Barry loved The Lord. He loved fishing, gardening and motorcycling, but most of all, he loved spending time with his family.
Besides his wife, Barbara of Waldoboro, Barry is survived by two daughters, Trisha Lippincott and husband Todd of Hellertown, Penn., and Stacy Gild and husband Eric of Easton, Penn.; stepdaughters and stepsons that he considered his own, Michelle I. Neubauer of Waldoboro and husband Jay serving in Iraq, Tasha M. Horton of Waldoboro, and Peter R. Sheff and Timothy Owens, both of Marysville, Wash.; sister, Dolores Lyle and husband Paul of Phillipsburg, N.J.; the mother of his daughters, Susan Dilts of Raubsville, Penn.; grandchildren, Brittany Tainter and husband Zachary, Ashley Neubauer, Matthew and Jacob Lippincott, Michael Butler, Jordan Butler, Collin Stavropoulls, and Kayden Gild; great-grandchild, Jayla Butler; niece, Wendy Lyle; nephew, Michael Lyle; and his extended family.
Graveside service 1 p.m., Sat., Oct. 13 at St. Peters Lutheran Cemetery, Delaware Rd., Riegelsville, Penn.
