Beatrice Edna (Parker) Parent, 92, of Warren, born Nov. 30, 1918 to John S. Parker and Cynthia (Stetson) Parker died Sept. 15 at Knox Center in Rockland. She was born in Bowdoinham and was raised in Richmond, graduating from Richmond High School.
She was married to Richard Parent Sr. (Dick) in 1940 in Hallowell.
She worked as a telephone operator for New England Telephone through WWII and retired as a lab secretary from Penobscot Bay Medical Center. In retirement, she spent many winters in Florida with her husband, Dick.
Bea and Dick raised their family in Warren where she lived for over 60 years. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed cooking.
Bea and her husband enjoyed going dancing in the local area throughout their marriage.
She was predeceased by her loving husband Dick, and sisters, Bertha and Ester.
She leaves her daughter, Linda and spouse Steve Thomason of Canaan, N.H.; son, Rick and spouse Ann of Warren; grandchildren, Lisa, Sarah, Julie, Kate, Sam and Molly; and great-granddaughters, Makayla and Carter Lee.
Time of visitation 6-8 p.m., Mon., Sept. 19 at the Hall Funeral Home, 949 Main St., Waldoboro. Graveside service 12 p.m., Tues., Sept. 20 at the Maine Veterans Cemetery located on Civic Center Drive in Augusta with Rev. Robin Honaker officiating.
