Beatrice Winchenbach, 83, of Waldoboro, died suddenly Aug. 12 at the Miles Memorial Hospital in Damariscotta.
Beatrice was born May 12, 1926 in Damariscotta, the daughter of Frank and Lillian Sprague Genthner, and attended local schools.
She was self-employed as a crabmeat picker and clam shucker.
Beatrice enjoyed watching birds, tending her flower gardens, doing crossword puzzles, riding her golf cart, and most especially having her children and grandchildren visit.
She is predeceased by her husband Ralph Winchenbach; son, Larry Winchenbach; daughter, Veronica Winchenbach; four brothers, Dennis, Roy, Deering and Elbridge; and sister, Bernice Spear.
Survivors include sons, Eugene Winchenbach, Ralph Winchenbach Jr., Allen Winchenbach, Montgomery Winchenbach and Dale Winchenbach, all of Waldoboro; daughters, Linda Boyington of Warren, Charlene Boyington and husband Ralph, Sandra Soule, Patricia Isabel and husband Richard, and Beatrice Quintal and husband Louie, all of Waldoboro, Muriel Winchenbach of Bath, and Darlene Grierson and husband Bob of South Thomaston; sister, Estella Sylvia Collamore of New Harbor; and many grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Visiting hours 2-4 p.m., Sun., Aug. 16 at the Hall Funeral Home, 949 Main St., Waldoboro, where a celebration of Beatrice’s life will be held 11 a.m., Mon., Aug. 17. Interment will be in the German Cemetery, Waldoboro.
