Bernita Grace Bosworth, 79, of Nobleboro, passed away Nov. 10 at the Augusta Rehabilitation Center in Augusta.
Born April 9, 1931, in Alna, a daughter of the late Perley and Eva Pickard Crummett. She attended Franklin Grammar School and was a graduate of Wiscasset High School, Class of 1950.
In 1950, Bernita married Kenneth Bosworth and they made their home in Nobleboro. She was employed by Sylvania in Waldoboro for 21 years before retiring in 1986.
She enjoyed motorcycling across the country as well as camping, boating and snowmobiling with her husband.
She was predeceased by her husband, Kenneth, in 2003; brothers, Thurlow Crummett Sr. and Freelow Crummett Sr. and sisters, Bernice Crummett and Lucille Wilson.
Survivors include her daughters, Marlene Swift of Augusta and Phyllis Moore of Chester, Va.; grandchildren, Eric Carter of Holderness, N.H., Angela Chermak of Warwick, N.Y. and Matthew, Corey and Naomi Swift of Augusta; great-grandchildren, Elias and Gabriel Chermak of Nyack, N.Y., Marissa and Eliza Carter of Holderness, N.H. and Tyrese Hall of Augusta; sister, Natalie Carter of Albion; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Graveside service 3 p.m., Tues., Nov. 16 at the Hopkins Cemetery in South Jefferson with Rev. Bob Wyand officiating.
