Bernita Mae Parsons, 89, of Waldoboro, died Sept. 17 at Shore Village Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Rockland.
She was born May 20, 1917 in Pemaquid, a daughter of the late Clarence and Julia (McFarland) Feltis.
In 1942 at the age of twenty-five she married Manley Parsons. Over the years she was employed at Damariscotta Diner, the laundry mat in South Bristol, and Dr. Berry’s nursing home in Bristol. Mrs. Parsons loved her flower gardens and cooking.
Mrs. Parsons is survived by her daughter, Irene Parsons of Pittston; five grandchildren, Brian Hutchinson, Bert Parent, Sarah Hosier, Robert Alley, and Daniel Little; and several great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband; three brothers, Vernon Feltis, Earl Feltis and Afton Feltis; and two sisters, Christine Thuber and Annabelle Farrer.
Private services will be held at the convenience of her family.
Arrangements are under the direction of Coast of Maine Cremation and Funeral Service, Waldoboro.
