Beverly May Trask, of Nobleboro, went to be with her Lord March 16. Beverly was born in Whitefield on July 5, 1938, the daughter of Richard and Mildred Russell. She married Gareth Trask on March 31, 1957 at the home of the Rev. Ernest L. Harvey in Richmond. Together they had four children, Tracy, Timothy, Eric and Holly. She was predeceased by son Eric shortly after his birth and her son Timothy on March 6, 2003. She also had six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Beverly graduated high school from Bridge Academy in Dresden in 1956 and married the following year. She dedicated her life to taking care of her home, family and extended family. She loved children and took care of her grandchildren, nieces and nephews and their children at a moment’s notice. She was extremely happy when her niece Linda held a wonderful 50th anniversary party for her and Gus because she didn’t expect it would happen and it was one of her happy times.
Her home was filled with pictures of family and friends and she could tell you where and when every picture was taken. She also loved to do crafting, and especially loved to make angels. She loved to give things that she made to her family and friends.
She is survived by sister, Louise Dancer; brother, Phillip Russell and wife Barbara; sisters, Gloria Bailey and husband Charles, and Dorothy Bodge and husband Ronald; caregiver, Lonnie Zepfler, who was like a son to her; sisters-in-law, Rita Russell and Coleen Trask; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and their children, who all loved her unconditionally. She is also survived by many special cousins and friends who meant so much to her.
She was also predeceased by her parents; beloved uncle, Bill Trask with whom she and Gus lived with for many years and raised their family on the farm in Alna; brother, Robert Russell; and brothers-in-law, Clayton Trask, Austin Trask, and Lester Dancer; by all of her grandparents, great-grandparents, aunts and uncles.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Sat., April 1 at Sheepscot Valley Community Church in Whitefield.
In lieu of flowers, donations to defray funeral costs would be appreciated and may be sent to Linda Newell, 14 Alexander Dr., Pittston, ME 04345.
