Bonnie Stuart Gallant, 64, of Waldoboro, oldest daughter of Randall and Betty Stuart, passed away at the Maine Medical Center in Portland June 27.
She was born in Skowhegan, Aug. 14, 1943, graduated from Bingham High School in 1961 and Gorham State Teachers College in 1965. That same year she married Robert Gallant in the Bingham Congregational Church on July 31.
They moved to Waldoboro where she taught for 14 years. She and her husband then bought and restored several homes there. At each of these she enjoyed her vegetable and flower gardens. She loved to cook, sew, knit and had a passion for reading. She took lessons in hooking rugs and tole painting. The last few years she sold her Blue Barn Antiques from her home and on e-bay and had just joined her husband in the Gallant and Gallant Properties Real Estate.
Besides her husband and parents, she is survived by her son, Jason and wife Adrienne and granddaughter, Norah Joy, all of Hope; sister, Brenda Stuart of Scarborough; niece, Polaris Garfield and nephew, Rigel Garfield, both of El Cajon, Cal.; and several cousins.
There will be no services. Burial will be in the Robinson Memorial Cemetery in Moscow.
