Bonnie L. Alley, 68, of Pittston, passed Feb. 8 at the MaineGeneral Medical Center in Augusta. She was born and raised in Damariscotta, one of two daughters of Robert Kallum and Helen Wilson Tukey.
A graduated of Lincoln Academy Class of 1962, Bonnie was a hairdresser for many years. She was employed at her Uncle Ed’s family owned beauty salon in Damariscotta and Fieldcrest Manor in Waldoboro for many years. She was a self-employed daycare provider, who loved and cherished every moment spent with each child who entered her home.
Bonnie loved life, she was caring, loving and was always there to lean on when needed. Many knew her to be a bit of a spitfire and she was always up for a good laugh. She enjoyed reminiscing and chatting about old times. She enjoyed Foxwoods, playing Bingo, was a great bargain hunter, and loved her family unconditionally.
She was especially proud of her TOPS pals, group #199 of Gardiner where she was a member for over 20 years.
She is survived by daughters, Kimberly S. Alley and companion Norman Pelletier of Pittston, Britt E. Alley of Winthrop, and Taylor E. Alley and fiancé Joseph Dowling of Dresden; sister, Susan Tukey of East Hartford, Conn.; grandchildren whom she took great pride in, Danielle Kotow, Isabella Alley, Jayda Dowling, and twin boys Jett and Jaxson Dowling; many special close friends; and her cats, Ally, Paris and Odie.
Visiting hours 4-7 p.m., Wed., Feb. 13 at Staples Funeral Home, 53 Brunswick Ave., Gardiner. A graveside services will be held in the spring at the family lot in Bethlehem Cemetery in Damariscotta.
