Bradford “Eric” Jackson, 60, of Waldoboro, died June 4 at Maine Medical Center in Portland after a brief illness. He was born Aug. 6, 1947 in Waldoboro, a son of Henry Bradford Jackson and Dorothea Gee Jackson. He grew up in Waldoboro and attended local schools.
He was an auto mechanic for many years. He later worked various jobs as a blueberry pickers’ boss, for P.B. Moody and lastly at Medomak Canning Company in Waldoboro.
He loved animals and spending time in the outdoors. He was a very independent person. He was a loving father and brother.
Bradford was predeceased by a brother, Llewellyn Jackson and by a son, Ronald Bradford Jackson.
He is survived by two sons, Bruce Jackson of Rockland and James D. Jackson, Sr. of Sangerville; sisters, Joan Perry of Warren, Kathie Demmons of Waldoboro, Lori Winchenbach of Waldoboro, and Lillian Canterbury of Solon; grandchildren, Tina Curran of Massachusetts, Nicole Jackson of Massachusetts, Brittany Jackson of Sangerville, and James D. Jackson, Jr. of Benton; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Celebration of Eric’s life 1 p.m., Fri., June 13 at the Comery Cemetery, Rt. 220 in Waldoboro. A reception will immediately follow the service at Kathie Demmons’ home.
