Brenda Lee Leino, 55, of Friendship, passed away May 20 at Pen Bay Medical Center in Rockport. Brenda was born Jan. 2, 1954 in South Hope, a daughter of Rodney (Sr.) and Ethel Dennis Huff.
She met her husband, George, and they were married on Sept. 13, 1969 and together they made their home in Friendship. At a young age Brenda was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease. She fought to live a full life through her struggles with the disease. When her health allowed, she volunteered at Pen Bay Medical Center assisting in various jobs.
Brenda was an excellent cook who enjoyed spending time with her friends and family. She always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need. She had a great love for her animals and had many throughout the years.
She was predeceased by her brother, Robert Huff.
Survivors include her loving husband of 39 years, George E. Leino, of Friendship; mother, Ethel Huff of South Thomaston; sister, Lorna McNeilly of Owls Head; sister-in-law, Alexandra Weiss and her husband Eric of Freeport; brother-in-law, Howard Leino of San Diego, Cal.; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
A private family service was held.
