Brenda Lee Lord, 57, of Boothbay, passed away peacefully Nov. 13 at her home surrounded by family after a two-year battle with lung cancer.
Brenda was born on Feb. 24, 1959 in Worcester, Mass., the daughter of Frances Arsenault and Ozelie (Peters). Brenda was a graduate of Boothbay Region High School, class of 1977. Brenda was well known to her community from working in the public her whole life, starting with Shop n Save in her younger days. She worked for Irving and then managed Amatos where she would greet many people on a daily basis for 19 years.
She enjoyed playing bingo and gardening in her free time when she was not with family and friends. Brenda was a dedicated worker and when she had time, family and friends were a priority.
Brenda was predeceased by mother Ozelie; father, Francis; and brothers, Bruce and Stephen Arsenault.
She is survived by her husband of 28 years, Gerald Lord; daughters, Amanda and Lindsey, both of Boothbay; sister, Tammy Chubbuck and husband Kevin of Edgecomb; sisters, Lisa Orne and significant other Robert Adams, and Karen Dalton and husband Ray of Wiscasset; brother, Barry Arsenault and wife Vicki of Georgetown; granddaughter, Grace Thornton of Boothbay; stepfather, David Chapman of Boothbay; and many nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held from 5-7 p.m., Thurs., Nov. 17 at Hall’s of Boothbay, 975 Wiscasset Rd., Boothbay.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Fri., Nov. 18 at Hall’s of Boothbay, 975 Wiscasset Rd., Boothbay.
