C. Frazier Evans, 71, of Coconut Grove, Fla. and summer resident of Christmas Cove, died suddenly while at home on June 10. He was two days shy of his 48th wedding anniversary. He was eagerly awaiting the birth of his first grandchild due this month.
He graduated from Yale University in 1962 and attended graduate school at the University of Pennsylvania. While there, he met and married Elisabeth of Bogota, Colombia. He had a long and very successful career at what is now Columbia Management where he was a portfolio manager and an economist. He was a CFA and on the board of the Brookline Savings Bank.
In retirement, he became an accomplished artist and loved golf, the ocean, gardening and the outdoors. He spent many wonderful summers growing up in Christmas Cove.
He is survived by his wife, Elisabeth Evans; sister, Missy Grose of Christmas Cove; children, Russell and wife Gretchen, and Lisa and significant other Tim; and many lifelong friends and cousins.
A private celebration of his life will be Sun., July 1.
