C. Howard Cousins, 94, of Damariscotta, died on August 4 at his home.
He was born May 3, 1913 in Stonington, son of Raymond Loring and Carrie Lee Harriman Cousins. Howard grew up in Stonington and was educated in the local schools.
He and his wife lived in Gorham from 1952-2003, when they moved to Chase Point Assisted Living Complex in Damariscotta.
He was a Mason of long standing and a member of Harmony Lodge of Gorham.
Prior to his retirement Howard was employed by the Grant Knowles Store in Portland and later by the New England Telephone Company in Portland.
Howard was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, golfing and bowling. He had a life long interest in cars and enjoyed reminiscing about his experiences in owning and driving his many models.
He was predeceased by his parents.
He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Julia Morrill; cousins; aunt, Lillian Joyce of Deer Isle; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside service 11 a.m., Fri., Aug. 10 at Brooklawn Memorial Park, 2002 Congress St., Portland.
