Carlo P. Bianchi Jr., 69, of Waldoboro, passed away on Nov. 21 at MaineGeneral Medical Center in Augusta, surrounded by his family. He was born on Dec. 22, 1947 in Framingham, Mass. to Carlo P. Bianchi Sr. and Elizabeth Ann (Malcomson) Bianchi.
Carlo grew up in Walton, N.Y. and attended Walton Central High School, Class of 1966. After graduation he was drafted into the Army. He served his country in the Vietnam War and was awarded the Bronze Star Medal.
After moving to Waldoboro, Carlo worked for Randy at The Movie/Pizza Shoppe for 17 years. He loved interacting with everyone who came in to the Shoppe.
Carlo was a Past Master of the King Solomon Lodge #61, Past District Deputy Grand Master and 32nd degree member of the Scottish Rite. He was very passionate and devoted to the Masonry all over the State.
He loved sports, his family, and especially loved being “Bumpa” to his grandson.
Carlo was predeceased by his parents.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Eileen (Black) Bianchi of Waldoboro; daughters, Elizabeth Bianchi of Warren, and Mary Bianchi and Dan Bischoff of Waldoboro; grandson, Michael Bischoff of Waldoboro; brother, David T. Bianchi of Brick, N.J.; brother-in-law, Ernie Black and wife Mary of Marlborough, Mass.; sister-in-law, Evelyn Waugh of Rocky Point, N.C.; and nephew, David E. Bianchi of Fords, N.J.
Visiting hours will be held 5-7 p.m., Fri., Nov. 24 at the Hall Funeral Home, 949 Main St., Waldoboro. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Sat., Nov. 25 also at Hall’s of Waldoboro. Interment will follow at Shuman Cemetery with military honors.
