Carol Lorraine (Lindsey) Stewart, 75, of Newcastle, passed away on the morning of June 6, 2019 after a long battle with cancer. Born on Sept. 1, 1943 in Camden, she was the daughter of Elmer and Lois (Freeman) Lindsey.
Carol worked as a caregiver and cook for many years while living in Connecticut. She retired to Maine to care for her mother, and her husband, Robert, followed. They had many beautiful years in Maine, where Carol was an active and longtime member of the 7th Day Advent Church in Farmingdale. She loved her Lord and Savior, and her extended church family.
Besides her parents, Carol was predeceased by her brother, Jerry Lindsey.
She leaves behind her loving husband, Robert Stewart; daughters and their husbands, Sherry and Russ Wilmot, Corina and Bill Loock, and Rosalie and Bob Patrick; her son and his fiancee, Jeff Sullivan and Debra; brother, Richard Lindsey and his wife Betty; a cousin, Donny and his wife Madeline; as well as 15 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Carol’s life will be held, and announced, at a later date.
