Carol E. Orne, 63, of Boothbay Harbor, died July 8 at her home.
She was born March 26, 1945, in Boothbay Harbor, the daughter of Harvey and Geraldine Pinkham Blake. She grew up in Boothbay Harbor and attended local schools. Carol was a chef in many local restaurants over the past 45 years. She was currently managing Shore Hills Campground in Boothbay for the past five years. She was a member of the Boothbay Harbor United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women. Carol loved to travel with her cousin, Jean Reny and her sister, Cathy Blake.
Carol was an avid bowler and a great dancer. She enjoyed spending time with her family and her grandchildren. She also enjoyed watching soap operas on TV. She was full of life and did things, her way.
She was predeceased by a son, Michael Orne.
She is survived by two daughters, Lisa Orne and companion Richard Hallinan of Boothbay, and Teresa Bryer of Boothbay; parents, Harvey and Geraldine Blake of Boothbay Harbor; sisters, Cathy Blake and husband Gary of Boothbay, and Barbara Colby and husband Russell of Gardiner; grandchildren, Brandon and Brittney Markowski, Bruce, Kaitlin and Cody Orne, Dana and Evie Greenleaf, and Megan and Stephanie Bryer; great-granddaughter, Aurora; nephew, Tyler Blake and wife Lynn of Boothbay; niece, Amy Goodwin and husband Dusty of East Boothbay; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and uncles.
Visiting hours 6-8 p.m., Fri., July 11 at Simmons, Harrington & Hall Funeral Home, 975 Wiscasset Rd., Boothbay. Funeral 1 p.m., Sat., July 12 at Simmons, Harrington & Hall Funeral Home. Al Roberts will officiate. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery in Boothbay.
