Carolyn Overlock, age 84, of Warren, passed away peacefully on Feb. 27, 2024, at the Sussman House in Rockport. She was born on Aug. 7, 1939, in Rockland, the eighth of nine children, to parents Charles Sr. and Doris (Teague) Overlock.
Carolyn grew up in Warren and attended local schools, graduating from Warren High School class of 1957.
After high school, Carolyn worked for Coffin’s Clothing for five years. She then started in a vending machine business with Avis Maloney. She also worked for the Courier Gazette for several years in the dark room and did painting and cleaning at Moody’s for P.B. Moody himself.
Carolyn attended the Warren Congregational Church and was a member of the Rebekah’s of Warren. She also loved spending time with her family, especially at family gatherings. She would send cards to family and friends; she was always thinking of others.
Carolyn was predeceased by her siblings, Jeanette, Charles, Frank, Richard, Russell, and Ronald, and their spouses.
She is survived by her brother, Albert Overlock and wife, Janice; and sister, Bernys Overlock, before her passing in early May.
A graveside service for Carolyn will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2024, at 11 a.m. at the Sawyer Cemetery on the Stirling Road in Warren.
A time of conversation and refreshments will be held at the home of Albert and Janice Overlock, 430 Oyster River Road, Warren, immediately following the committal.
