Carolyn Whitten Larrabee, 81, of Boothbay, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Feb. 3 at her home. She was born in Hallowell on June 5, 1930, the daughter of the late Roscoe and Annie Benner Whitten. She attended and graduated from Gardiner High School class of 1950.
She enjoyed spending her time traveling with her husband, exploring all areas of the United States. She was very passionate about knitting and crocheting and enjoyed spending time working in her garden, always staying busy.
She is survived by her husband of 41 years, George Larrabee of Boothbay; daughters, Susanne Heald and husband Thomas of Jefferson, and Marianne Quinn of North Yarmouth; grandchildren, Jeffrey Merrill and wife Jennifer of Gardiner, and Adam Merrill and wife Angela of Merrimack, N.H.; and great-granddaughter, Sadie Merrill of Merrimack, N.H.
