Catherine A. Weaver, 91, of Waldoboro, formerly of Warren and Watertown, Mass., passed away Feb. 28 at her residence after a period of failing health.
Catherine was born Aug. 12, 1920 in New Hampshire, the daughter of Henry and Bessie Nickerson Thompson, and was a graduate of Warren Academy, class of 1939.
She married Herbert S. Weaver Jr. and together they made their home in Watertown, Mass. for many years. It was during that time that together they served as foster parents to 18 children over a span of many years.
Catherine was predeceased by her husband, Herbert, on April 4, 1994.
Survivors include her children, Patricia Walter of Arizona, Ralph S. Weaver of Massachusetts, Lawrence R. Weaver of Massachusetts, and Dorothy Mahoney of Massachusetts; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
