Chad Overlock, 43, of Jefferson, passed away unexpectedly March 23, 2019 at his home surrounded by loved ones. Born April 27, 1975 in Belfast, he moved to Jefferson nine years ago with his best friend and love Cheryl Moon and her children. He graduated from Belfast Area HS in 1993. Chad was a Class A truck driver and held a variety of jobs.
Chad enjoyed cruising the roads and going for rides, especially on his Harley with Cheryl. Everyone who met Chad quickly knew he was never short for words, he had the gift for gabbing. You could see his big smile a mile away and he had a heart just as big to go with it.
Chad was predeceased by his grandmother, Elizabeth Kenney; cousin, Darline Johnson; and friend, Mark James. He is survived by his mother, Kimberley Overlock; step-dad, Bob Brown; his fiancee Cheryl; his step-children, Brooke and partner Justin, Christian, Alexis and his new loveable baby girl, granddaughter Anastasia; step-sister, Karen Brown and partner Ted Reed and their three children; Cheryl’s parents, Mark and Shirley Buck, her sisters, Kathy and husband Mike and daughter Kimberly, and Tiffany and husband Joey and son Joey; many aunts, uncles and cousins. Chad recently added more friends to his life, the congregation of Truth Baptist Church, Jefferson. Chad came to know the Lord through the friendship of Pastor Lovelace, a bond that Chad held so dear. Chad’s personality was bigger than life, he made many friends wherever he went and he will be missed by them all.
