Charles “Charlie” F. Herrick passed away on Jan. 2 and life will never be quite the same.
A partner at Schooner Landing in downtown Damariscotta, husband to his adored and adoring bride Katrina, and father to three girls who gave him a run for his money, Charlie was the life of the party. This phrase is used all of the time, but for people who knew him, this could not be truer for Charlie.
You’d be hard pressed to run into him without hearing a joke or hilarious story, likely for the third or fourth time. He had a mean golf game and an even meaner air guitar, skied the trees and moguls with the young guns, enjoyed sunsets and Red Stripes in Jamaica, punched it around corners in his old BMW around coastal Maine, and sipped many a light and stormy at Coveside.
A party for Charlie will be held from 2-5 p.m., Sat., Jan. 12 at the 1812 Farm in Bristol.
