Chester Fesmire, 82, of Damariscotta, passed away Nov. 4 at Miles Memorial Hospital in Damariscotta.
Chester served in the U.S. Navy, and upon returning home, attended Penn State for two years studying architecture. He left school to work for his father and two brothers, building and designing custom homes in the Philadelphia and Bucks County area for 55 years.
He was a member of the Huntingdon Valley Baptist Church and sang in the choir for 28 years. He also was a Rotarian for 25 years. He and his wife moved to Damariscotta 14 years ago.
He is survived by his wife, Doris; children, Chester Fesmire Jr., Betsyanne Crabb and Pamela Greene; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
No funeral is planned at this time.
