Christiana Fesmire, 22, was taken from this world on the morning of July 1 in Lewiston. Born in Concord, N.H. on Dec. 17, 1988, she was the daughter of Chester, Jr. and Deborah (Schieber) Fesmire.
Christiana spent the first four years of her life in New Hampshire before her family moved to Pennsylvania, where both of her parents were from. They moved to Maine in 1997 and she then attended, and graduated from, Great Salt Bay School. She would go on to Lincoln Academy and Coastal Christian School before completing high school in 2007.
Christiana was very athletic and always kept active and ate healthy. She participated in cross-country while in school, but out of school she loved biking and snowboarding. Christiana was a very creative person who enjoyed painting and cooking. She also loved music, and could occasionally be found helping DJ different events.
Christiana was very charismatic and had a great sense of humor. She was known for her positive energy and ability to embrace others.
She was predeceased by her grandfather, Chester Fesmire, Sr. who passed away last November.
She is survived by her parents, Chester, Jr. and Deborah Fesmire; brothers, Andrew Fesmire and Nicholas Fesmire; sister, Katrin Fesmire; grandparents, William and Aileen Schieber, and Doris Fesmire; aunts and uncles, Mark Schieber and wife Debbie Jo, Tim Schieber and wife Roseanne, Jessica Blackburn and husband Tom, Betsyanne Crabb and husband Joseph, and Pamela Greene and husband Robert; nephew, Adam Fesmire; as well as 13 cousins.
Memorial service for Christiana will be held on her birthday, Sat., Dec. 17, at 3 p.m. at the Damariscotta Baptist Church.
