Christine M. LeClair, 49, of Wiscasset, passed away unexpectedly on Sept. 12. Chris was born on Dec. 31, 1959 in Old Town, to Rudolph and Virginia (Stevens) Lavoie.
Chris had a love of the outdoors. She enjoyed spending her free time camping, gardening, and visiting with her sons who both reside in Florida. Chris especially loved camping at Sebago Lake, a yearly family tradition since she was a small child.
Chris was preceded in death by her brother Robert Lavoie and nephew Jack Melanson.
Chris is survived by her parents of Old Town; sons, Addam LeClair and partner Sabrina of Florida, and Aaron LeClair and wife Kari and their son Noah of Orlando, Fla.; sister, Mary Melanson and husband Allan of Lagrange; brother, George Lavoie and wife Gina of California; and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and friends.
Family and friends are invited 2-4 p.m., Wed., Sept. 16, at the Birmingham Funeral Home, 438 Main St., Old Town, where a memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. In addition to the services, a second memorial service will be held 3 p.m., Thurs., Sept. 17 at the First Congregational Church of Wiscasset, 28 High St., Wiscasset. There will be no burial as Chris’s last wishes were to be cremated. All family and friends are welcome to attend and celebrate the life of Chris LeClair whose quality of existence far exceeded the quantity of time in which she lived.
