Christopher Scott Elliott, 44, died at the home of Dr. Erika Pilver in Spruce Head on Nov. 26.
He was born in Rockland on March 21, 1963, a son of Ralph W. Elliott and the late Deanna French Elliott.
Christopher enjoyed doing genealogy with his grandmother, being a wine steward at Marcelle’s Restaurant at the Samoset Resort in Rockport and being a waiter in Colebrook, N.H., as well as cooking in many different places.
He was a member of the Mormon Church in Rockland. He was currently teaching special needs children at Lincolnville Center School and Harbor Schools of Maine. He also taught swimming lessons at the YMCA in Rockport.
He is predeceased by his mother; three grandparents; and uncle, Stanley Elliott.
He is survived by his father, Ralph W. Elliott of Damariscotta; brother, M/Sgt. Jason Elliott and wife Patti of Fort Lewis, Wash.; special cousin, Ethel Herald of Damariscotta and her family, Elsie Daigle of Walpole, and E. Donald Boyd of Damariscotta; nieces, Pvt. Nikki Brott and Misha McFarland and spouses of Elizabethtown, Ky.; grandmother, Florence Elliott of Round Pond; uncles, Carroll Elliott and wife Judy of California, Craig Elliott and wife Rosemary of Bristol, and Wayne “Bobby” Elliott and companion Shirley of Damariscotta; aunts, Anita Benner and husband Ronald of Union, Patty Ames and husband George of Warren, Delores Ames and husband Bobby of Pennsylvania, and Loretta Welch and husband Larry of North Carolina; many great aunts and uncles and a large amount of cousins; and special friend, Erika Pilver, for whom he house sat for the past few years.
Private graveside service at the German Protestant Cemetery in Waldoboro where he will be laid to rest next to his mother. Pastor Tom Rawley will officiate.
