Christopher W. Nourse, 48, of Chamberlain, where he has been a resident for 10 years, died suddenly by motor vehicle accident the evening of Dec. 16.
Born Dec. 25, 1962 in Boston, Mass., he was the son of William F. Nourse, Esq., of Chamberlain and the late Carlene (Malloy) Nourse. He was educated in the Medfield Public Schools graduating with the class of 1981 and furthered his education at UMass, Amherst, Harvard Extension School and Case Western in Cleveland, Ohio studying geology and chemistry.
Formerly of Norwood and Medfield, Mass., he was employed for many years as a VP and Chemist at United Aniline Company in Norwood. The past 10 years has been the principal caregiver and companion for his parents in Chamberlain.
He was a member of the Kansas City BBQ Society and the New England BBQ Society. Some of the activities he enjoyed most were grilling and barbecuing, math, puzzles and spending time with family and friends. He was a Kansas City BBQ Judge and received multiple awards for both barbecue championships and puzzle contests.
In addition to his father, he is survived by sisters, Pamela Nourse of Abbot, and Amanda Nourse of Brighton, Mass.; and brother, Anthony Nourse of Arlington, Va.
Relatives and friends visited with Chris’ family on Dec. 22 at the Roberts-Mitchell Funeral Home, Medfield, Mass.
The funeral and burial in the family lot at Vine Lake Cemetery will be private for the family only.
