Claire Aleda Crocker, 91, of Pemaquid Beach, passed away on Sept. 25. She was born Oct. 16, 1924, the daughter of the late Gorhan Daniel Simmons and Marguerite (Lewis) Simmons.
She attended the Hawthorne Grammer School in Pemaquid Beach, where she met the boy who would later become her husband in 1945.
Her family moved to Massachusetts in 1936. Where she continued her education and graduated from Girls High in Boston.
Claire received her diploma in medical laboratory and x-ray technique. In the 40s she worked as a medical laboratory and x-ray technician. After that, she felt blessed to be able to stay at home and be a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
Claire is predeceased by her parents; husband, Phillip S. Crocker; son, Brian P. Crocker; and granddaughter, Alanna Phillips-Crocker.
Claire is survived by son, Kevin A. Crocker of Westbrook; granddaughter Kristina Bacchiocchi and husband Ryan of Rochester, Mass.; and great-granddaughters, Alexandria, Isabella, Juliette and Cassandra of Rochester, Mass.
