Craig Alan Ladner, 71, of Jefferson, died unexpectedly on Jan. 28 at Miles Memorial Hospital.
Craig was born in Cambridge, Mass. on Jan. 30, 1935, the son of Ralph Martin Ladner and Corrienne (Stafford) Ladner.
He graduated in 1952 from Newton High School in Massachusetts, and attended Northeastern University in Boston, Mass.
Craig was a co-owner of the Sunoco in Newtonville, Mass., SAD 17 Transportation Director in South Paris, and worked for W.C. Cressey and Sons of Kennebunk.
He was an active member of the Bunker Hill Grange in Jefferson and a member of the Masons Norumbega Lodge in Massachusetts.
He enjoyed camping, woodworking, helping his sons with their many projects, gardening with his wife, and participating in the Boy Scouts organization.
Craig was predeceased by his father and mother.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Joan (Barter) Ladner; sons, Wayne Ladner of Richmond, Keith Ladner and wife Debra of Harrison, and Dale Ladner and wife Kathleen of Casco; granddaughters, Becki, Sarah, Michelle, Brittany, and Kelcey; brother, Francis Ladner and wife Elizabeth of Orleans, Mass.; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and daughter-in-law, Yvonne Brunelle of Farmingdale.
Memorial service 1 p.m., Sat., Feb. 10 at Kincer Funeral Home, 130 Pleasant St., Richmond.
